An experimental analysis of the timing jitter associated with sub-picosecond pulses produced from a quantum
dash passively mode-locked Fabry-Pérot laser is produced. Moreover, application as an all-optical clock
recovery function for a 40Gb/s data rates with non-return-to-zero (NRZ) modulation format is demonstrated
using this laser
