Giacoumidis, Elias orcid logoORCID: 0000-0002-1161-7837, Aldaya, Ivan, Weil, Jinlong, Sanchez, Cristian, Mrabet, Hichem and Barry, Liam P. orcid logoORCID: 0000-0001-8366-4790 (2018) Affinity propagation clustering for blind nonlinearity compensation in coherent optical OFDM. In: Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO 2018), 13-18 May 2018, San Jose, CA, USA.

The first blind nonlinear equalizer using affinity propagation (AP) clustering is experimentally demonstrated for single-channel and WDM CO-OFDM. AP outperforms fuzzylogic c-means clustering and digital-back propagation for both QPSK and 16-QAM formats.
