• We compare adjacent frames based upon three 64-bin colour histograms (Y, U and V).

• The histograms for each frame pair are concatenated into 2 192-unit vectors which are compared using the dissimilarity analogue of the cosine similarity measure.

• Output of system is list of cosine similarity values for each adjacent frame pair.

• A threshold is used to detect shot boundaries.
