Mode-locking dynamics in a quantum-dash Fabry-Pérot
laser diode for packet based clock recovery applications.

Abstract
We experimentally investigate the locking/unlocking dynamics of a mode-locked
QDash laser diode for packet-based clock-recovery applications. Results show 20 ns locking times
for the passively and externally synchronized mode-locking mechanisms.
