Abstract
This short presentation report provides the structure and rationale for a novel model for the referencing of GenAI tools used in assignments and learning contexts, addressing the need for an alternative to the citation forms associated with static knowledge sources. The TOPIC model is in use in DCU Teaching & Learning contexts in 2024 and is the subject of forthcoming peer publications related to its efficacy and contextual usage in HSS disciplines. This presentation file is provided as an open resource (CC-licensed) for immediate academic use within and outside DCU.
