Digital Assessment for Learning (DALDIS) Ireland Case Study (2023).
Project Report.
Erasmus+.
Abstract
DALDIS is a 3 year Erasmus+ Project (2019-2022), involving eight partners from five European countries, which aimed to explore the potential of digital technologies for Assessment for Learning (AFL) or Formative Assessment (FA). The application, which was developed and
tested as part of the project is designed for Science and Modern Foreign Language (MFL) learning, which in Ireland’s case is French. It has been adapted to the national core curricula, with the aim of providing feedback to students on their progress and help them understand their mistakes while also helping the teacher to analyse students’ needs and preferences, potentially encouraging learning
personalisation. The backbone of the project is the Study Quest technology platform (www.study-
quest.com) and methodology in which well-designed question-sets and student feedback help to
build students’ knowledge and understanding of core curriculum concepts.
